Anyone on the 28th?

Hi All, Just wondering if anyone else is scheduled for surgery on the 28th of September? If so, what are you thinking at this time, how are you feeling emotionally and have you told a lot of people about your surgery? I am having surgery on this date at 7:45 am that is why I asked. I am really ready I believe to have this surgery and get healthier!!! Truely, Sherri B

Yes I report at 11 am on Monday, two more days! I am trying to get ready for the shock of post-op. That first week can be hard emotionally and painful. I plan on following my plan to the letter because I don't want to be one of the ones who gain weight back two years out. We are going to have a window of time where we will have it a little bit easier to change those habits and I won't let this opportunity pass without giving it 110%. I am going to have a talk with my two teenage daughter today and I expect it to get emotional. Overall I am ready to go. I have the normal fears associated with this operation. But I am so looking forward to meeting the new me. I feel like a person who had sight for 20 years, lost it for 35 and will slowly be getting it back over the next several months. I know the risks and they are worth the potential rewards. Not only have I told a lot of people, I am going to have my second interview with the local newspaper who are following my WLS story - kind of fullfiilling my civic duty thing. Damn the pessimests! Spread the word.

I go in @6am and surgery is @0730 ....Am I nervous ...yep.....Luck and prayers for all of us sent everyones way......See you alllll on the losiiiiiing side.....sandy
