I'm back...

Hi everyone! I'm home from surgery on Thursday and other than feeling a little bloated, I feel really great! Thank you SO much from all of your good wishes, prayers and support. Obviously it worked! Cedars-Sinai is awesome! It's like being at a 5 star hotel! Okay, well maybe not THAT nice, but for a hospital it was fantastic. Although, during prep for surgery I did overhear a couple of inappropraite comments from nurses re: everyone just wanting to be thin and how I didn't need the surgery, but I say to h#$$ with them! They are obviously jealous, insensitive and not in the right job! Other than that, everyone else was wonderful. Never did see my surgeon after the surgery but several of his associates came by to see me over the two days. Best of all though was my TOTALLY FABULOUS LaNee! She is the best, the coolest and so much fun!!! We hit it off right from the start and she was even sweet enough to bring me a beautiful card, little bear and care package! Not to mention she came back again last night! I am so grateful she entered my life and can't wait for her to have her surgery so I can be there for her! So if you read this LaNee, THNAK YOU!!! Hey I'm glad to have you back home. Sorry about those comments you overheard in the OR. What a bunch of jealous people. I cna' honestly say mine were nice. My sister yelled to me as I was going in "You can always back out", and they all laughed and said no way this is the best decision she ever made and she's in great hands. Next thing I know I am waking up in my room. Have fun sipping, resting, walking, sipping, resting, and walking!!! Shannon
