Stayed an extra day in ICU because there was no room for me at the inn or at least the third floor anyway. lol Anyway--I am happy the surgery is now behind me. Thank you to all of you for your visits, phone calls, best wishes and prayers. Patti and Jackie you can be sure I will be calling with questions that come up. The worst part of all this is the disgusting taste in my mouth! I brush, use mouthwash, breath strips and I still have stinky tasting breath. Trying to sip the water. Liquids holding down ok. Took my meds this morning. Had to cut some smaller (hypertension). I have to say that everyone at Southside was just wonderful. I have no complaints---wonderful care and compassion. Staff could not believe the laps I was doing around ICU. Then the nurse had me exercise my arms and legs while sitting in the chair. Well, I think I am going to sign off for a while. How great that you are home and doing so well. I am glad your experience was a good one. The bad breath things sucks. I find that it only happens after I drink my protein drinks. I can eat or drink something else and I am fine. Those breath strips do help. What a great banner. Your family is to funny. I bet your one happy loser. Shannon
