I Got my date!
Hi everyone, after only 1 month, I got my date..... I was'nt even aware the doctors office sent in the paperwork, I thought I had 1 more test! My date is the 30th of this month. They wanted to do it this monday, but I told them I needed a few more days to prepare! Wish me luck, need to get some shopping done this weekend, any sugestions?
Congradulations on your surgery date! I hope your surgery goes well and without complications. Get a backscrubber. Once they let you take a shower it is hard to reach many places. If you get the one with loofas on it, it will be a little softer and can be used to reach all over. 
It was the best thing I brought. That way I was able to take a shower by myself. I'll be praying that your surgery goes well.

Brook I have the same date for surgery. Good luck. Everything will go just fine. I start bowel prep on tuesday including clear liquids for 2 days. I am excited and nervous. I will be on clear liquids 2-4 wks after surgery. I have gotten lots of broth and jello. I have some protein samples and a couple of large containers. Juice will be allowed but it has to be watered down. I just bought some sample sizes of personal hygiene products etc. Baby wipes, deodorant, toothpaste etc to put in my bag. I'm taking a book and some magazines, CD player with headphones. Something loose and baggy to come home in. Chapstick, slippers, phone card if you will be out of town.(most hospitals don't allow cell phones) list of phone #'s,don't forget your insurance cards,most people take a small fan, don;t forget the wooden spoon or tongs for butt wiping after surgery, I am also taking my own pillow. Thats about my list. Again GOOD LUCK. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family.
