Surgery Date--9/22/04...

Hi! ;) I just met the surgeon yesterday, 9/15/04 and he scheduled me for next week, already just 6 days. They have such an awesome system up here in Green Bay, WI. I really am impressed with everyting. WOW! No time to back out now, all the prep. work is done and I just show up at 9:30 a.m. and surgery is at 11:30 a.m. WOW! I can't believe it is really happening and not something I am just talking about. Whew.....more excited than scared right now. Doc gave me a prescription for 2 valium tablets, one at night before surgery if needed and one the morning of while traveling to Green Bay (2 hrs. away) and for the allowing them to do the prep work, etc. PRAY FOR ME! I PRAY FOR YOU ALL OUT THERE TOO! Let's do this people! :D Love and Prayers, Michelle

Hi Michelle, Congratulations on your surgery date. Wow things do happen fast up there. I got my date on 9/3/04 and it is 9/27/04. Only 10 days away. I am excited, but I don't think it will hit me until Monday when I go and do my pre admittance into the hospital. I am sure like you I can't wait to be on the losing side. Wow talk about speed. It was still a month or so before I got a date after I met with my surgeon. You must have been shocked when you got the date. I think it gives you a little less time to think about it. I wish you all the best. Hopefully those valium kick in and you feel great. Wishing you all the best..... Shannon

Good Luck to you too! ;) Yes, the surgeon does schedule things fast, but that is how they work. It is usual to be in the very next week for surgery if you want to. It is a great, solid program they have there. I really respect and like it a lot. I am really nervous and really excited. I honestly didn't think this day would ever come. You are right, being so fast and close, I have less time to freak or run!!! :O Thanks for the support, prayers, emails, etc. Keep them coming....I appreciate them and you all!
