2 weeks out
Hi All!
WHen I saw Cheri's post below, and heard how many were encouraged by the good news, I thought I'd do a post as well.
My surgeons are fabulous! I had Lap RNY on 9/1, as of Monday, I was down 21.5 lbs! I have had no complications or problems (other than anesthesia and that had NOTHING to do with the surgery, it's just the way I always react to it).
I started walking about 8 hours post op (again, only took this long due to the drugs..) and walked 10 laps that night. In the am, I was the 1st of our 'group' of people who were up and walking at 6am and soon I was joined by 5 others! We then retired to the lounge and had a mini support group meeting. Our Doctor and PA were quite pleased to see us all up and around!
I have walked everyday since, using stairs, playing with my daughter. I have had a lot of energy, I am off of my BP meds (WOW!).
So, for those of you about to embark on this wonderful journey, I wish you all the same ease as I have enjoyed and hope you are all up and around quickly and safely.
Best wishes!
Valerie
Wow things sound great for you. I wish I had osme people up and walking with me. I only saw one lady and she was being helped around with 2 nurses. After that one time I never saw her again. Then I heard there was one other person but I never saw him/her either. I walked so much my nurse came looking for me. She thought I left. LOL
I hope everything continues to go smoothly for you.
