Since I have never had surgery before, I am not looking forward to giving up control to a bunch of strangers with sharp instruments. Kind of interested in finding out what everyone did for the 2 weeks of liquid diet. Fred

My Doc only requires 1 day of full liquids and one day of clear before surgery. 2 days isn't so hard. I *do* have to do 8 weeks of full liquid postop. I'll have an answer for you then!! ;) Blessings, Nan

My liquid diet starts on Friday night, but that's juices and soups, etc. On Saturday night, I'll start on straigh****er. I'll also be on the stuff to clean out my system, so the weekend should be exciting!LOL Then, Monday morning, at six oclock, I start the journey to weight loss. JB

Hi, We have the same surgery date. I am terrified of whats coming. I had two c-section and I'm still scared. All I can say is talk to the lord about it and he will work it out. Plus look at what you will be gaining when you wake up. I hope I'm not scarring you.

I'm with you Lady...2 csections and a gallbladder surgery (while pregnant lol) and a knee surgery last month and you would think I have never been under the knife. I am also having surgery Monday (9/20) at 7:30 am and I am sooooooo nervous. Also very anxious...Good Luck to everybody and I am confident that God will watch over us

I'll be praying your surgery goes well without any complications. I had my surgery Sept. 1st -Lap RNY- and the surgery went well, no complications. I had a strange hospital story, but that was due to hurricane Frances But to give you guys some hope, I would still do it all over again. I've lost 25 lbs in just 2 weeks. That is more than enough motivation for me!! I did not have 2 weeks of liquid diet. I only had a couple of days in the hospital. They moved me to pureed food while still in the hospital and now I am eating soft foods. The nurses I had were great and I hope you have great nurses. Good luck, Brook
