Pre-admission today

Hi Everyone I went this morning and did my pre admission, chest x ray, ekg, and blood work. One step closer. I have talked about this so much and researched it so long I can't believe it is here. My family is a little more supportive. They realized I am having the surgery with or without them. I told them that I understand that they are worried, I am too. But I need them to think possitive thoughts. My sons are great they have supported me the whole time. They are 27 and 28 years old and know that when mom wants to do something the best thing to do is support her because I am gonna do it. God has blessed me with the best sons anyone could have. I am so proud of both of them and I raised them alone. Oh I put everyone that is having surgery in Sept on a prayer list. This prayer line prays for those on the list 24 hours a day for the next 30 days.

Well they seem to be great your sons. I think once they relaize your totally serious the only thing they can do is offer you support. Now isn't the time to be mad. I wish you all the best with everything and a speedy recovery. Thanks a bunch for praying for everyone. I appreciate when anyone thinks of me. Shannon

Vickie, I just read your post. Thanks for the help! (prayers) I have a friend who is a pastor and also had wls in June. He promised to talk to his boss about me! I agree with the fact that family gets more supportive once they see that are you going to go ahead with or without them. I found that with my own family. My Mom didn't want to know my date. Well, yesterday she broke down and asked my sister. Wasn't see surprised when she found out that Thursday is my big day! I am glad she asked. Best wishes to you. You will be fine. The reality is that the chance we take without the surgery is just as real. Since it is elective it is hard for families to realize that. Prayers are with you too. See you on the other side! Bon-voyage!
