Surgery Septemeber 28th
Kristen,
I see that you have the same surgery date as I do! Congradulations on your approval and date. What time of the day is your surgery scheduled for? I read your profile and it really didn't take a long time for you to get through the whole process. That's great!
As far as stuff you should have on hand at home, I have a list of things for a liquid diet that I have copy and pasted from other posts to have around. Frankly though I have not even let my mind go in that area yet. I have so many other things that I want to get done around the house plus running the kids to different functions etc. So much to do, so little time.
You and your daughter are both beautiful Kirsten. I know you will do wonderful on you WLS. Keep me posted on how your surgery and recovery go. I would be happy to keep in touch with you!
Warmly,
Sherri B
Well the protein drinks aren't to bad. Centrum now sells a chewable multi vitamin that you only need to take one of and it is pretty good, orange flavor. I also bought calcium citrate chewables but you need to take 4. I chew the first 2, then the multi and then the last one. Don't drink with them because I did and it wasn't pretty. They aren't to chalky so you can chew them all. If you need to wait a little while and then either take a sip of your protein drink or ifyour drinking ater at that time drink a little sip of your water. I find that the water went down pretty easy so I liked that. The flat diet ginger ale really messed with my tummy so it will take a little getting use to. I want it so I don't get bored with the water. Try to eat because if you do like I did and don't you will get sick. I had some resaons but still I should have forced myself. Now I am drinking well and it helps. If you find your feeling hungry, like if your preparing dinner for family, then take a sip or 2 of your protein drink, it helps. I am having a little trouble with BM's so I try to drink as much water as possible.
HTH's
Good luck with everything.
