surgery sept 20th
hey everyone
after going back and forth for a year or so i have finally made the choice. first i was going to have Lap, but now i have decided to have open. I am kind of worried about having open, but im ready. bring it on. my husband and i just moved to ca about 5 months ago, so he is my only support here besides everyone in my support meetings. im hoping that i asked all the questions that i wanted to. if anyone as any questions that they asked and think that they were good, please let me know. thats all for now....~kasey
I had lap Rny. So as far as what to expect afterwards I really don't have a lot of advice but since I did have surgery I can offer you support. I am not sure how they do it in your area but at the hospital I was in my doctor ordered a VERY STRONG pain medicine that didn't knock you out but just took away every pain in your body. My nurse gave that to me about 30 minutes before he got me up to walk. I also made sure that the only time I got out of bed was about 30 minutes after my regular pain meds were given. That way I wasn't dizzy and I was well medicated. I wish you the best though. Make sure you lean on your hubby and don't be afraid to tell him exactly what you need. The only way to get the best care it to be honest and tell him what's wrong.
Take Care
