Finally, I know for sure!
Well up until today, I knew I had a surgery date, I just didn't know if I could keep it. I needed several tests done... H-pylori, final clearance from PCP, and endoscopy... and I found out last Friday I had to have these done before this Friday!!! (I expected to have a few weeks?) Anyway, I was on the phone all day Friday trying to get appts. and got so discouraged. Everyone I talked to just said it would be a few weeks to get the endoscopy done! Some of you may have read my post. Anyway, with the holiday, I had one less day and then the storms... well you get my drift. I had a hard time being patient with it all. I finally got H-Pylori done yesterday, PCP clearance today and also consultation with GI doc. today... They worked me in for an endoscopy TOMORROW! I was in shock! I am so happy! Surgery is a go for next Wed... one week from today! Now I am really excited! I do have to give a very big thank you to Dr. Duncan's office too. They gave me the name and number of this GI doc and faxed over note about this having to be done so soon! If they had not done this for me, I would be waiting for about 3 weeks for the scope and another week or two for my surgery. Thank you to everyone who answered my post last Friday also. I calmed down and left the whole situation in God's hands and prayed for a soloution. I was able to have a great weekend with my kids and husband and now I am thrilled to still be getting my surgery on the 15th. Thanks also to all who have written on my surgery support page... it means so much to know I have your prayers and a great group of cheerleaders in my corner. It makes me want to succeed even more! I will keep you all posted on my success cause that is what I expect to have... lots of success! Thanks everyone!
