I had my surgery done 09/02/04, came home 09/03/04 and feel great. My blood sugar is normalizing and I am walking. I have a week off work but probably could have went back already. We are so blessed!!! Keep up the good work!!! One question, do you feel hungry? I don't really feel hungry (I am still on liquids) but food does look good J.

Yes, I am still on liquids with some foods like the following: broth, cream of broth, small foods three times a week with expeciations of 2 oz per serving, and LOTs of water and wlaking.. I am not craving; however, when my family comes in with foods I think about it and try to leave the room for my sake, you know. I feel great now. I am taking my vitamins( B12, Iron, Flirtstones, and etc.); so I am going alone... Keep in Touch! -gwen

Gwen: Give me the scoop on that cream of broth thing. I think I found it today called "cream of chicken" You just add 1 cup of water to it and let it sit for 2 minutes. It felt like I was actually getting something. What kind do you use? Tell me about the 2 small meals per week also. J.

Sorry for the delay.. Let's see: I use Campbells soap but I add 1 cup and a half of water to the soap to reduce the salt intake. Yes, It is cream of chicken, herbs, celery and the broth is good when you add chicken BUT DO NOT EAT THE CHICKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT EAT THE CHICKEN!!!!!!!! IT gives it a nice favor, that's it. TAKE it SLOWWWWWWWWWWWW... I eat 2 small meals of baby food- I take ONE JAR and split it out over 2 to 3 meals letting me feel like I have food in my stomach. The MAIN KEY IS THE water...... the water, the water... I am now down 27.1oz and it feel good. My great Dr. E. and Tara said I looked GREAT yesterday at my doc's appt. Email again anytime and good luck... -gwen

WOW, WTG!!!!!!!!! I haven't done much walking since I came home. I went out the first day with my husband and I walked A LOT. Then I got this freaking ear infection and I can hardly move. I am on some pain killers right now so I can actually see straight. Once this pain is gone I will be walking my bum off. Shannon

Shannon- Glad to hear you made it over, Friend... The ear infection with go away soon; just pray on it and God will remove it. Remember, Don't use the ear infection as a 'Excuse' right now because it only takes 1 or two of them to change your focus... We must be focus right now... OK>>>>>>> Walking is the key to losing the weight I am seeing that.... Personally, I stopped taking the medication for pain and I feel 200 times better since I stopped because it made me sleep and I felt like I could not move. I stopped my med's on day 4. Anyway, each person is different so DO WHAT YOUR DOCTOR IS TELLING YOU....PLEASE.... ----You can always walk AROUND your house inside from room to room; you just have to do it 4 or 5 times per day instead of two nice long walks for 2 miles. Or move those arms and legs while you sit in a chair. The key is to JUST MOVE>>>> -Hope it helps... These are merly my little things of how I am handling my weight lose... -LOL for you and keep you HeadUP!!!-gwen

WOW! That's really fast! I am scheduled for 9/15 and really appreciate the specific info about intake, etc. That's the part I am most curious about at this point. Can't weight (sorry) to be on the losing side too! My 12 year old son is my inspiration to keep moving. Best wishes in your recovery and here's wishing you many more losing days ahead! Michelle
