Just wondering!!!
I am almost 50 (nov.30) and the age is something I wonder about with others. Anyone having or had this surgery past late 40's. I don't know why it feels an issue for me, guess I wish I had done this decision 10 plus years ago, but anyway just a question to put out there. Thanks for anyone that will give me some feedback on having wls after their 40's.
HI Catherine,
I know how you feel! I am 48 and full of confusing opinions. I whish I had done it earlier, embarassed to have to do it ( While Neither my family or co-workers have been negative, niether have they been positive)
I guess I always thought I would diet myself out of all this weight, but as I approach 50 I realize that that wsa never going to happen. Iguess my main issue is all that wasted time, when I could have doen this before and been recovered and healthier now. I work hard to have myself look forward, not backward, and concentrate on more postive benifits.
No surgery scheduled yet. Kinda put everything on hold till my husband is fully recovered from cancer surgery. But it's my next priority. I am looking to make the appointment with the surgeron this week to get things rolling. Good luck with yours.. I will keep watching the message board for your updates. You are getting close..
