Thanks for the replies I got for "I don't understand" I was at work when I wrote that and very upset. I thought I need a little support and I knew where I would get it. This week has been a trying time for me. First a friend of mine at work told me that if I didn't quit smoking that I was going to die during surgery, then my date was changed from the 20 to 24, no big deal, and then I was told that my family has a bad feeling about this and they are afraid that I was going to die. I don't need this kind of attitude to weigh me down. First of all my friend was way out of line to say what she said, that was very mean and ugley, and I would not say something like that to anyone. I will be fine. As for my family no one has gone to the doctor with me or read any of the material I have on this surgery so what do they know. Until they educate themselves on this I don't want their input. Thank you for letting me vent. Lord I don't know what I would do without you guys.

Vickie, I'm sorry that your friends and family are giving you such a hard time. I know right now that you are stressed enough, just about the surgery, without having to deal with outside stress. Keep your head up, remember, you are the only one that can make this decision. If you haven't already, talk to your family, not only about the surgery but how you feel as well. Express your desire to have them stand by you even if it's not the choice they would make. Remember, you always have all of us here rooting for you. Tracy J

Ah, Vickie...as if this already were not hard................HANG TOUGH! It must be really hard for those who don't know as much as we now do to make informed comments.........and they are coming from concern and fear.........We don't need that, for sure, but have to focus on the source, because WE ARE GOING TO GET IT! GOOD LUCK! Love, Wesie, 4 days post op, sore but glad to be here!
