IN decision mode

Well I have already decided to have this surgery, I'm almost 50 and thinking that it may be one of two things, either I am too old not to do it or too old to wait any longer. Just when I had been to my PCP and done the presurgery work-up my husband was diagnosed with cancer and now has finished his surgery but is following a lengthy recovery process. So that is where my priority is now. But when he is up and back to himself I will be heading to the appointment to get things started. I am looking forward but also a little apprehensive. I guess that is to be expected. Anyway, just joined and have really enjoyed reading all the post. Gives me hope and strength. Thanks to all. C.

Catherine, I'm sorry about your husband, I hope he's feeling better in no time! Take care of him and you...it will be your time before you know it. Tracy J
