Erin Obrien's 09/02/04 open RNY

Erin and I had our surgeries the same day, mine in Pittsburgh, her's in Mass. Well anyway, I talked to her this morning. She came through surgery okay but she still has her catheter in as well as an epidural. She wants them both out. She keeps telling the staff she wants them out and they keep telling her later this afternoon. She is getting very discused at the staff there - she says it seems that no one is listening to her. She may come home tomorrow. It is so weard how surgeries are different. I had mine 09/02/04 and came home 09/03/04; mine was lap. Erin's was open. She is at Bringham Young's women's hospital. J.

Wow! Do you know who her surgeon is? I'm having open RNY at Brigham and Woman's hospital on 9/27.

SSSSSSSSSSSooooooooooooooo glad to hear you and Erin are doin ok....and think of your being HOME already?? That's why I wanted lap!! DAmn insurance! Keep us posted...I am fighting a fever..ugh..but came home today. Wesie

J, glad to hear you and Erin are both doing well! I know it's frustrating to feel like people aren't listening to you, especially if you're already not feeling your best. I hope that soon Erin will get her request. Keep us posted on both of you guys progress! Tracy J
