WHAT TO TAKE ????
M. Hall
I am also having surgery on the 7th, I was told to pack light. I will definitely take my makeup.
Toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion, hairbrush, makeup, nightgown, slippers, outfit to go home with, cd player, towel, panties and bras.... these are the items I am taking with me.
Hope this is helpful...

if you feel well enough to put make up on chances are they will be sending you home!! i packed a nitegown and bathrobe and never put them on! do pack some antibacterial handwipes as it is difficult to wash hands with an IV in, also some baby wipes as you usually aren't allowed to shower till the second day, and the baby wipes are good to freshen up with, also chapstick as you are not allowed to drink much and your lips will be dry, i did use my slippers as they will have you up walking pretty quickly. bring your own pillow and very loose clothes to wear home, best of luck to you on your upcoming surgery

My friend had her surgery five weeks ago. She took way way too much. She ended up using her robe, slippers (only cause they had a rubber bottom), hairbrush, toothbrush and a set of loose clothes that she wore home. She wished she had taken her own pillow.
My surgery is on the 13th, and that is all I am packing. My laptop will arrive the next morning (geez, talk about an addiction).
