Just wanted to know if anyone had this surgery done a long time ago and what are the effects? Or is there an area on this website where I can look for myself.

I think there are other places to look. Everyone here is having their surgery. If you go to the top of the page and look for communities you may find what your looking for up there. Either way I wish you the best.
