New Surgery Date!!!

I just got a new surgery date. It's Sept. 07. I have been having a little problem with Aetna. They denied me because I didn't have a full 6 months of supervised dieting with my PCP. Catherine, Dr. Roslin's (my surgeon) assistant, had him write a specific letter and she just called to tell me that she faxed it over to Aetna and I should have no problem. She said that if by some chance they deny me again, she will call the medical director. She told me not to worry, so I won't! I am asking for your prayers that everything will go smoothly. Cindy

That doesn't surprise me on Aetna. Since your doctor's office is fighting it, you have a good chance for approval by appeal. If you have Daphne for precertification - be very thankful. She's great.

I'm not sure who is doing the precert. My surgeons office is taking care of everything. They told me that I should have no problem. So, I will leave it in the Big Guy's hands. Cindy
