What will be your last meal?
I'm on the liquid diet and unfortunately I missed out on my last meal because I drove two hours to get home and by the time I got home my son and fiance had already eaten so I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It was good, but not what I had in mind. Maybe it saved me some calories. I was originally going to have a filet, but I guess that will have to wait... about a year!
There is so much good food... We've been doing a couple different things. We've thought of our favorite dishes and have treated ourselves to the top picks... However, for the last night, we plan on Angelo Maxie's - a steakhouse where my company had their Holiday party. melt in your mouth, steak.
Here are the places that made it to our favorites list:
Carrabba's Italian - Cheesecake Factory - Taco Bell - Arby's - Crackle Barrel - Panara - Longhorn for RIBS! OMG! They have the best baby back ribs ever! We love Longhorn Steakhouse. - Chili's for Southwestern Eggrolls - Duffy's Bar & Grill for Hamburgers and Buffalo Wings - IHOP for pancakes - Zapada's (really good Mexican, and I'm from Texas saying that in Florida!)
Plus I purchased my last box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. Cheep food, but good food.
Boy, looks bad when I write it all down... Although, we are having to be good NOW.. no more money!
My surgery is scheduled for the 3th of Sept. My family and friends are all going to Red Lobster for dinner on the 11th. My surgeon doesn't require any special diet, but he did encourage me to lose some weight and quit smoking before surgery. I have to drink mag. citrate and only eat liquids on Sunday. Oh yea, sounds like fun. Cheryl
Oh boy, what a loaded question!
I've already got my meal planned for the week before, then I'll be on a juice fast for the last four days before surgery. I don't want to have to worry about bowel movements after surgery either.
The week leading up to the fast, I will be taken to lunch at the cheese factory, and I have a date at the Olive Garden with some friends during that time. If I'm over being mad at my hubby, I'll let him make that seafood dinner he promised which will end with champagne that evening and mimosa's that morning. My last meal is going to be at dairy queen, because before every surgery I've ever had I've eaten an ice cream sundae. On Thursday morning, I will start on my juice fast which should keep me until Monday.
All these plans are subject to change depending on what restaurant I see first prior to the deadline!LOL

Well... I havent had much time to think about last meal. I scheduled my surgery 3 days ago and it is in 2 weeks. I start my liquids tomorrow. Tonight was my "last meal". I made homemade potato soup and buiscuts. Lots of carbs was my goal. Now im on to high protein shakes... yuck! By the way.. how do I get the smilies?
My last meal will be steak AND lobster! With a nice garden salad and a baked potatoe. And, of course, something rich and chocolatey to end the meal! My surgery is on 9/20 and I'm on clear liquids for 2 days before my surgery. So, I will probably have that last feast a few days before that. My prayers and well wishes to all having surgery in September. Jan
My Dr. requires a 2-week liquid protein diet, started Friday, so just talking about food is making my tummy rumble. But, I have to admit that I had several "last" meals at all my favorite restaurants.
1) Tour of Italy (Fettuccine Alfredo, Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan) at Olive Garden
2) Chicken Fried Chicken at Applebee's (my early "girl's only" birthday dinner, actual B-day on Sept. 3)
3) Big Bacon Classic Value Meal (with mayo on fries) at Wendy's
4) Baked Chicken Alfredo at Fazoli's
5) Custard at Kopp's
6) Sweet and Sour Chicken
7) Southwest Steak Border Bowl at Taco Bell
These were all the yummy things that I wanted to get out of my system and now I am glad I did. Mind you, I stretched it out over 2 weeks and ate like a normal "Weigh****cher" the rest of the time...so I do not feel *too* much guilt.
BTW, congrats to all of us September "losers" !!! I wish us all safe, sucessful surgery and speedy recoveries!
