For those of us who are getting closer to our dates, does anyone know what their last meal will be? My surgeon said I can have anything I want but after 5 pm tues. nothing bu****er. I am kinda afraid to have anything rich or heavy tho cos I don't wanna have to go to the bathroom the next day while in so much pain. So give me some idea folks! Doreen

boo hoo hoo, I had mine last Friday. I have been on liquids + one lean meal like tasteless fish or chicken since last Saturday. However my last meal was pizza. Yummy gooey cheesy pepperoni pizza and I ate till I thought I was going to split and I loved every single bit of it. Shannon

I'm having my last feast this Sunday. I'll still have meals to eat after Sunday, but this is my last big hurrah. I'm making homemade spaghetti sauce to put over spaghetti, cheese ravioli, homemade meatballs, sweet italian sausage, veal parmesean. Oh yeah, and of course a salad. And a couple of beers.

I haven't decided yet, but my top picks are Fettucini alfredo with chicken made by my darling husband who used to work in italian restaurants a big huge monster burrito .... we have a great local joint here, not one of those chains that seem to follow the coffe joint around. or my mom's fried chicken and fried potatoes.....and CHEESECAKE. LOTS OF TURTLE CHEESECAKE. My mom made hommade kolaches to bring to me tomorrow, so I'll be having them all week. And you can bet that weekend I'll be eating chips and queso or salsa and enchiladas....I had those once already though. I have to go on clear liquids only for 3 days leading up to surgery. That will be a tough one for me. Especially since I'll be at work and traveling to go for surgery. But, I can have sugar free jello and popcicles. And juice (my last change for large quantities of it actually)

My surgeon has us go on a 7 day pre-op diet. The first five days are high protein, no carbs or sugar. The last two days are liquid. Anyway, my last meal before starting my 7 day pre-op diet was at Longhorn's Steakhouse. I had a steak with mushrooms and onions, baked potato and caesar salad. I didn't care how full I was, I knew I was going to have one last dessert. My favorite ... hot walnut brownie, vanilla ice cream with hot fudge on top. Oh, my, I'm drooling ...

Well, I have to say I am leaning toward some sort of pasta..and definitely DESSERT!!! Surgery is Wednesday, so I think Monday night might be my last big splurge...........this doc does not do any pre-surgery diet, and does not do any "cleaner outer"....not sure if this is good or bad, but really relieved not to be drinking that stuff, lol. Good luck, all. We are sooooooooooo close........ Wesie

My surgeon doesn't require a preop diet but I've decided to have my last meal on the Sunday before surgery. I want Prime Rib in garlic butter sauce with a loaded baked potato! Then some kind of lucious dessert! Better take some sort of stool softner, huh? LOL! The doc will smell me coming and going! LOL! God Bless You All!

I'm trying not to look at is as having a last meal. I've been low-carbing it for the past 2 weeks (my choice) and then 2 days before surgery I have to be all liquids. I'll start all liquids on Monday with WLS on Wednesday. Sunday we are going to some friends house for dinner after church and not sure what we will have. Taking a low-carb bar with me just in case. I just wanted to lose a few pounds before WLS and am paranoid about gaining even 1 or 2 between surgeon pre-op and WLS date. Once I'm off carbs, I generally do okay. Been past that point for about 10 days. Love some of the low-carb bars. I actually crave certain brands/flavors.
