Hi everyone, I can now be added to the September club! I got the call today, Sept. 15th, first procedure of the day, I'm hoping the doc is a morning person and not . I am so excited. I'd really like to hear about how some of you have prepared. I have a 3 and 4 year old at home, hubby is supportive too. Thank God. Well congrats to all September's losers. Joyce

Hey, I am totally with you on that doctor being a morning person. I am the first surgery of the day for my surgeon as well. I have a 22 month old daughter at home and my biggest preperation is getting her to bed earlier so she won't be overly cranky when I have to wake her up at 4:30am. Then again, I shouldn't worry. MY husband will have to deal with that. LOL I have written some letters. I finished a book I was meaning to read. I bought vitamins and some shakes. I've attended support meetings to get a better feel from what to expect. I started my 2 week diet a few days ago. I think I lost some weight. Well, I don't feel like i've gained any. I haven't packed a bag yet or anything. I tend to procrastinate with things like that. I didn't pack my bag for my daughter's birth until the morning that I went in. I just grabbed a bunch of things and threw them in the bag. LOL I hope you get everything done you've set out to do. I think a list is a good idea. That way if you think of something you need to do or you need to buy you will have it written down. Good Luck Shannon

WOO HOO! Congratulations Joyce!! I too am the first surgery of the day. I preferred it to be that way. The surgeon will be nice and fresh for the procedure. Besides, I want to get it done and over with. If I had to wait for like noon or later on in the day I would go mental just waiting. Welcome and Congratulations! Erin
