Pre op testing over with!

And thank goodness! It wasn't hard or hurtful, (not much) just a long long day! I see we have many new people who have gotten surgery dates! Congrats to all of you. I find out my surgery time monday after I get my pulmonary clearance. I ordered some vitamins and proteins tonite and am ready for my surgery! Come on Sept 1st.! I had my EGD last Monday and now all the other goodies this monday... Yippie!!! Had my nutrition class today and I am in information overload... got my vitamins... and some protein drinks and some other nickie nackies. Just waiting for my day to roll around....

My pre-op testing wasn't all that awful. The only things I hated were the hida scan and the Gallbladder ultra sound. The ultrasound took forever and my back hurt but of course I didn't say anything to the lady cause I just wanted to get it over and done with. With the hida scan I got sick. In most hospitals they do an IV drip to put that medicine stuff into your body but at the one I went to a doctor puts it in. He was suppose to pu**** in over the course of 5 minutes but he did it in like 2. I was soooooo sick. The good news was, as fast as it came it went away. Then I felt fine. Aside from that everything was pretty painless. Oh, when I had my EGD I don't remember anything because I was outcold before the doctor even did anything. I jsut remember waking up in recovery and not knowing how I got there. Shannon
