Preop testing also I need and Angel

I am going Wed. morning for my preop testing does any one know why you have to eat certain foods 2 hr before tests?

I am going Thurs morning. Leaving at 4:30 am it is a 3 hr drive. My doctor just told me to not take my evening meds and no food or water after 11pm. Maybe it depends on the kinds of tests they are doing? Good luck at your pre testing. Doreen

I have my EGD today at 4pm. My gallbladder has been bothering me so they wanted to work me in ASAP rather that wait for an early appt. So I get to work tonight with only small amounts of clear liquids and then nothing by mouth after 7 am. Lovely!!!! AAAGGGGHHHH!!!!!

I am having my pre-op evaluation on Monday the 16th and they didn't give me any special instructions. I should probably call them and ask. But I don't have any special instructions. Erin

My pre op is on 8/16 and no one told me to do anything just be there by 10 am. ????? Sorry I guess I'm no help !!!!! Laura

I called the wt loss place today and they told me that diet was only if I had to have something to eat but ideally it should be fasting. Boy was I releived you should have seen the food they had listed. More than I eat. Good Luck on your surg...Louann
