Hi Julie, My doc is a big advocate of protein bars. I've tried just about every kind and my favorites are the Balance Bars. They have 14-15 grams of protein and are great if you have a sweet tooth. The sugar and carbs is very low and they have given me no discomfort. The Smores and Caramel Crunch bars are exactly like a candy bar, so they have become my afternoon snack. Another thing I love about them is that they are not huge, just right for pouches of our delicate proportions, lol.

Topic: RE: Plateau or what?
Hi Sheila, As long as I continue to lose weight monthly, I don;t consider myself at a plateau. I think the first month is always the greatest weight loss, after that as you incorporate regular foods into your body, the weight loss per month seems to lessen... but you still continue to lose! Which is the ultimate goal anyway, right? My weight loss seems to be averaging about 2-3 lbs per week, with a total of about 10-12 lbs per month! Not as much as some people, but more than I ever lost on my own. Here's to success! Wooo hooo!

Hi Louann, I wish I could help you cuz then I could help myself, lol ,I have had terrible mood swings also, I keep telling myself (and everyone around me) that it must be a hormonal adjustment thing. I intended to discuss it with my surgeon and forgot to ask about it, any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated by myself and my household!

It feels good to go and by something normal. Thanks to every one who prayed or just thought about me durning that time in my life. I have so much energy, I don't know how to react sometimes. Topic: RE: Working out
Hi fran, I am also trying to get motivated to move. I have the "walking away the pounds" and I haven't even opened the dvd. I realized today that I'm not doing myself any good if I don't give it my all. So, I'm right here with you and I know how difficult it is to get up and go, especially when you have not been well. so good luck to you and I hope you're feeling better and walking the pounds off soon! Julie
