You can try Biotin. I take 2000mcg per day.I don't know if it really helps or not but that is what the doc recomended. Mine has just started & I cried too. But I am told it is a side effect of the anesthesia and it is just temporary. I frosted mine a few weeks ago so if I did start to thin it wouldn't be as noticeable. You have to find what works for you to deal . Can't wait for it to stop & come back in. I am lucky to have thick hair to start with.

B-12 sublingual are meant to dissolve under your tongue. They are absorbed directly into your bloodstream and are for energy. I take them daily. Some can get away with weekly. Some people need injections. Very individual. The pills that you buy & swallow are not absorbed & pass right through you & you waste your money.

Hi Connie, I, too, am 4mos. post-op. I am getting thinner on top but haven't seen any hair come out by the handfuls. I also increased my protein and vitamin intake. Hopefully this will slow down the hair loss. I heard that this will pass by 6-8mos postop. I only hope that my hair will last that long.

Hey there -- did that, done that... Am also 4 mos post-op, and it's a relief to read how many of you have had the same problem. I also cut my hair shorter and started increasing my protein and vitamins. Lately, I've noticed the hair loss has slacked off considerably, so I'm thinking by Spring we'll all of us be walking bomb shells!!!! Don't ya think?

Hi Connie, I'm also 4 mos post op and losing hair. I spoke with the nutritionist and p/a at my surgeons office and they told me to just keep up the protien and vitamins and be patient. Most pills and shampoos don't work (it's just alot of hype like the diet programs we know so well). My 2 friends both lost alot of hair but by 6 months it had started to regrow (thicker). Having a shorter style does make it a little less noticable. Good luck and be patient. Carol Card

Maybe it's just me, but I've not had any hair loss. Don't know that I'm doing anything different than any one else.

Hello, I went to Vitamin World today and I bought B-12 vitamins. The salesperson said that with my multi-vitamin and the hair vitamin that the B-12 vitamin will not have any side effects. Does anyone on the site take B-12 Vitamins? It is a pill you let desolve in your mouth. Let me know because I would like to start taking it as soon as possible. He said that it will give me energy. I need that....
