Topic: Christ Hospital surgeries---Sept 2004??
Well, 4 years later, I can hardly it's been that long,,,September 28th, 2004 at Christ Hospital...Dr. Alexander...I remember it well....the day that changed my life...I remember he did I think two other surgeries that same day...anybody out there????
I am now living in Nashville, am trying to hook up with a support group....my life has changed so much...I wish I could have been approved for the Skin removal....I really am disappointed about that....anyway,,, I love it that I can go up steps comfortably....those of you who are anticipating the surgery....don't even think twice about it...it's worth the risk....I had no problems,,,,thank God...it was wonderful to me..Good luck...

Hi,
Just thought I would take a look and see what was happening here. I just wrote a paragraph in WLS graduates, because yesterday was my anniversery. I have gained 30 pounds back and now have lost 15 of that. I never hit my weight goal, but I did my health goal. I can now walk 5 miles a day and do walk at least 4 times a week. I eat healthier and have more fun swimming and tubeing with my kids and grandkids this summer. Also in the past year I have reconnected with my first love(after 40 yrs of no contact), We have known each other since we were 5. We are now 60. We are now planning on spending the rest of our lives together. So although I haven't reached my goal weight, I am so much happier than I was 4 yrs ago.

Hi Diana,
I too rarely come to this board, but just happened to be looking for some information so decided to take a peek.
Doing well and have for the most part maintained my weight loss with minor ups and downs.
Can honestly say that this is the best thing that I ever did for myself and my life and health has been so much better since having the surgery. It's been a godsend.

I drop in now and again... Unfortunately I've forgotten my password and email address I used to set up my original account so I've lost my BLOG! I'm upset about that one.
Anyway I've gained about 10 pounds this year but I'm pretty sure it's from the birth control I'm using (nuvaring). I'll be off that within the next 3 months (talk husband into a vasectomy)... I guess I'll find out if I lose the weight.

Hello Diana, I don't think people come here much any more...I just happened to be passing by and popped in for a moment.
I started out at 368 pounds and got all the way down to 238 before creeping back up to 288 again...*sigh*
So now, I am learning about what RNY really is, fighting to get back in control, and working hard to really change my lifestyle, all the things I should have done during my honeymoon phase!
Congratulations on your loss and may the scale continue to go downward for you!

I was just looking for someone who had a surgery date similar to mine? Are we so far out that we dont post anymore or does everyone post on the main board?
Topic: RE: is it to late to get on track please help
I had surgery on September 26, 2003. I've successfully maintained my weight for the last year and a half mainly due to the fact that I exercise for at least 60 minutes at a time 5-6 times a week. I strongly feel that if I didn't do this I would definitely be heavier. I don't always eat the way I should and the exercise helps me maintain my weight. I would like to lose a little more weight but I'm not willing to eat less so I'm pretty much maintaining.

I hope it is not too late. I have surgery September 16, 2003. I lost 100 lbs. and then began gaining weight. I have gained around 30 lbs back in the last year or so. I feel so bummed out that I can't seem to get back on track. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.
