Hi Patti
Thanks for the well wishes. Congrats on your success too. Cannot believe it is going to be a year already. Unbelievable. Those 18 lbs will be gone before you know it, just keep on plugging along.
Be well.

Hey September gang!!! Our one year anniversary is quickly approaching. I just wanted to share a new picture with everyone. I'm down 165 pounds, from 400 to 235. I hope to be down to 200 by the end of the year.

I guess I've been very lucky. I really dont have much skin hanging. There's a little around my mid section and that's it. I guess my skin just bounced back.

Jesse,
You stud muffin, you! Great pictures, really. I love your professional portrait and you have done a great job keeping a photo diary. Wish I had thought of that. Have been so camera shy for so long hard to change the habit!
Question though, where the HECK is all your hanging skin???????? All I see are muscles and I am jealous.
You have much to be proud of, guy.
Have a great weekend.
Patti
P.S. Although I don't post very often to this Board, I enjoy reading your weekly posts. Does a heart good to always read your upbeat notes.

Carol,
I think you know the answer is that you are doing nothing wrong. Your body is just not cooperating. Have you tried to journal what you are eating, perhaps you are eating more that you should be without realizing it. Although I don't really advocate this, several people on another Board that I participate in have tried doing the Stillman diet in order to jump start their weight loss again and have had great results. They are losing a pound a day, so they claim. The diet is very specific and very restrictive (mostly protein and not much else) and you can only stay on it for no more than 10 days and have to follow it to a T with no deviations. I don't know the exact website for it but I'm sure if you type Stillman Diet in your browser you can find it. Another thing you could try, that I have heard recommended is go back on your original post-op plan - you know liquids, then mushy foods, etc. I don't promise anything but just putting it out there for you to consider.
Hang in there no matter what, you've done well!

Luis,
Welcome! I too am guilty about not posting to this board very frequently as I participate in the NY Board and and another Board for people over 50. They are quite a bit more active than this one. I think poor Jesse is the only one who posts faithfully to this one and we probably should lend a bit more support.
Congratulations on your great accomplishment, you should be proud! I had my surgery on Sept 23rd and have lost 148 pounds and would like to lose another 18. It is hard to believe that we are almost a year out and what a year it has been!!
Wish you continued success

Hey Carol
Plateaus, Plateaus, Plateaus, Hate them. You are doing fine. Keep focused. Your body will do it in time. If goal at one year out doesn't happen, then don't lose sleep. It will happen. You are doing all the right things. Your body will respond and you will make it.
Have a good weekend and keep us posted. Good Luck.
