Topic: 1 Yr. anniversary, life is sooooo good!
Hi everyone, long time lurker, not much of a poster but I wanted to share my joy and tell everyone how much they inspire!! I read these post almost daily and it is nice to see that we alll go through alot of the same problems, emotions ect...that we are not alone. I am down 150 pounds, life is so much better, no more high b/p, back pain, knee pain, the list goes on.....The things I can enjoy now are unreal, I actually went go-karting, first time in my life because post op I couldnt get into them, I no longer have to watch my kids, I can join them!!!! (Dating is soooooo much more fun too, hehehe) I would like to loose 30 more pounds, I thought I was done loosing as I had been on a plateu for almost 2 months then poof I dropped almost 10 pounds in the last month. Good luck everyone, keep the post comming!!

Happy Anniversary Dee I totally understand what your talking about people do treat you differently, it is very sad. People that were rude to me before are nicer to me now.

I am getting ready to celebrate my one year anniversary. I am so delighted. I am also a bit saddened because I have discovered that people really DO NOT look beyond appearances. I am treated so much differently now than when I carried the weight. It's almost like people don't want to see you when you are heavy. It saddens me a lot. In the meantime, I am one happy camper. I now LOVE to shop...something that caused me great grief before. I feel healthy and can do so much more than I have been able to do these past years. 'Life is really good!!

Well i finally got around to visiting this site and i love sharing my weight loss surgery since it has changed my life in so many ways! so i will be passing this site on to many others in the future. Today is my 1yr post-op mark and this morning i weighed in @ 154! i NEVER thoguth i would make it this far! i love my life, my family and the time and energy ive gained from saying goodbye to 2 other people i was toting around! although i definately do not think this surgery is for everyone, i reccomend it to every obese person i know. i was the first person that i know to have this surgery, and luckily i ran into little problems. Furthermore ive enjoyed offering support to others going through it now and have made their husbands very happy as well by talking their wives into the surgery. i just wish that i knew of some people directly in my area that had the surgery before or around the time as i did. good luck to all of you and God bless!

Shere: I know that after a period of strict adhearance to protein, water and exercise we all have a tendancy to relax and get bact into our old habits as we realize that we can get more into our pouches. I have been facing the same thing the past few weeks. I just catch myself and as everyone has said "Get back to the Basics". I have even gone back to having sone sugar free jello and sugar free pudding as a way to aviod grazing on snacks. Remember we have your back and we will not let you go back to the old habits. If you need us just holla. Your friend, Jesse
