HI ROGER
I CAN'T DO THE DRY MEATS EITHER. I HAVE LOST 137 AND SLOWED WAY DOWN TOO. 22 POUNDS IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS. I USE SUGAR FREE COOKIES OR SUGAR FREE LIFE SAVERS FOR SUGAR CRAVINGS. I DRINK PROPEL, CRYSTAL LITE, ICETEA AND WATER FLAVORED WITH ASUGAR FREE VANILLA FLAVORING. I DRINK AT LEAST ONE GALLON A DAY OF FLUIDS. I WANT TOO LOSE A TOTAL OF ABOUT 214 OR SO. I EAT NO PASTA, NO RICE, NO SUGAR AND LITTLE POTATOES. WHAT KIND OF STUFF DO YOU EAT? YOU HAVE DONE GREAT ON WEIGHT LOSS !!!
Topic: Attitude Adjustments!!!
Hi Everyone:
It's Friday so here I am. I've been so busy that I almost forgot to post.
Things are going great for me as I enter the third week of year two since surgery. It's funny how my weight loss has changed people's attitudes toward me. Here's an example. I was walking down the corridor in my office yesterday and I heard a woman behind me saying "I want to grab your butt." Since my surgery I sort of take stuff like this with a grain of salt until I turned around and saw that the person who said it was the same person that did the under her breath whispering before surgery that I looked like a beached whale. I just laughed off her comment but inside most of you know what I really wanted to say (LOL).
I guess that I just have to accept people reacting strangely to the new me and roll with it.
Till next time,
Jesse

I didn't realize it was my one year anniversary until I signed on to the computer today and got a happy anniversary note from this website. What a great surprise! I had to weigh myself immediately.
Last year I was 278 and MISERABLE. I ached, smoked, and felt horrible most of the time. Today, I'm smoke-free, sugar-free, 162 pounds and still losing.
Thank God for a fabulous surgeon, and supportive family and friends.
I received a "you're looking hot" comment from a co-worker today! God, was that encouraging. I haven't heard that since I was 16, which is way too many years ago!
I am completely amazed that the loss of weight would do so much for my morale, and my energy level.
Life is going well when the world weighs a lot less.
Hope all you other September babies are as happy. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and welcome to the new lighter world.
Best Wishes, Christina

Hi Marie: I had my surgery on the same date! I had mine in North Carolina (Wake Hospital), but I graduated from Temple!!! What a small world...
Are you amazed that it's been a full year? I actually didn't realize it was my anniversary until I got an email this morning from this site. It made my day, and also made me realize how lucky I've been, and how happy this surgery has made me.
Hope you're feeling great too. 126 pounds is FABULOUS!!! I have lost 116, and gained a ton of confidence.
Take care of your yourself! You look great!
