Topic: Here Come The Holiday Parties
Hi Evereyone: It's Friday and two weeks before Christmas and the parties have already began. We had our group Christmas Luncheon today and it was a good time. Made the proper food choices and now I have to make sure to get to the gym after work because party #2 is my support group brunch tomorrow morning. Party #3 is Tuesday, Party #4 is Wednesday and Party #5 is Thursday. I'm not only looking forward to all the parties but I'm also making sure that I make the right food choices, get my protein in and stay committed to the 12 Days of Holiday Exercise. Speaking of the exercise, I did my lower body workout on Wednesday and my upper body yesterday. Tonight it's all cardio. Just because we had WLS does not mean that we can't enjoy the holidays. Just make good choices and maintain protein, water, exercise and vitamins. Till next time, Jesse 373/190/-183

Topic: THe 12 Days of Holiday Exercise
Hi Everyone: It's Friday so it's time for my weekly post. Now that we're in December and the holidays are fast approaching I have decided to challenge myself with what I call The 12 Days of Holiday Exercise. What I'm going to do in the 22 days left until Christmas is to make sure that I get in 12 days of heavy exercise in between the holiday parties and the mountain of goodies flying around my office. The other 10 days I will exercise lightly, if you can call doing just cardio on those days light. I'm doing this not only to not gain weight over the holidays but to maintain my focus on being healthy and making healthy choices during the holiday season. Feel free to join me in The 12 Days of Holiday Exercise and challenge yourself to better health. Till next time, Jesse 373/190/-183

Topic: Ready To Avoid The Holiday Traps!!!
Hi Everyone: Happy Friday after Thanksgiving to all!!! I managed to survive the 2nd annual "Mom, I can't eat the way I used to eat day". This was my 2nd Thanksgiving since surgery and although I ate a little more than last year my mom is still having a hard time looking at be eat a little while everyone else was piling it on like it was their last meal ever in life. Was I uncomfortable watching everyone stuff themselves? NO Was I wishing for the good old days of stuffing myself? NO Was I reaching for the Pepto-Bismol like everyone else? NO Was I a happy camper eating normally and getting in my protein first? YES Did I get up this morning and the first thing I did was go work out? DAMN RIGHT I DID I did not deprive myself of anything I wanted to eat yeaterday but I good choices and maintained my displine. I look at holidays like traps enticing us to say to ourselves "what the heck, It's only one day and it will not hurt to splerge" but I look at it as any other day that I have to get in my protein, my water and my exercise. Now that we are in the holiday season I know that I have to up my concentration level so I will not give in to all the traps that are being set at the holiday parties I will be attending. I will have a good time but I will also make smart food choices and up my exercise and assist my WLS tool to do its job. Till next time, Jesse 373/190/-183

Topic: Can It Be? I'm Normal!!!
Hi Everyone: Hope everyone is having a HAPPY FRIDAY!!! A little thing I noticed this week in the office and as I go about my daily routine is that I am looking more and more like a normal weight person. I got on the elevator and noticed that I was among the smallest person on the elevator. Fourteen months ago I would have been the biggest. I was on line at the store and noticed that I was the smallest person on line. Fourteen months ago I would have been the biggest. Went out to lunch with some of my co-workers and I was the same size as them. Fourteen months ago I would have been the biggest. It illustrates the great changes you go through on this weight loss journey and I thing I can really get used to realizing that in the eyes of everyone I am a normal sized person. Have a HAPPY THANKSGIVIVG!!! Till next time, Jesse 373/190/-183

Topic: RE: :-D One Year Since Surgery.....Feeling Great!
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your reply... I am still doing great... I am now down to 192lbs and still working out to tone up what I can.. Went to see a plastic surgeon and am going to look into more opinions.. I really can't afford the $4,000.00 that she will charge to do more extensive work.. SO, I am looking for a great plastic surgeon who will work with the insurance company and hopefully get the proceedure done at a much more affordable cost... Thank you for your response and wills you great success in your lifes journey to a happier and healthier life. Please feel free to email me and keep me up to date on your progress... Marie
