September 15th is our special day. We are both scheduled for that date and as far as I could tell, we are the only two having surgery on the 15th. If I am wrong, let me know please. Can't wait until I start my new life. The waiting is awful, but will be well worth the wait. I'm married, 53, and from PA. I feel like we are all going to be part of a reunion someday... I too have gotten my surgery date for the 5th. Tho insurance did not work out for me (looks like I have to pay for this myself).. Its great to be amongst my new friends. Andrea

Hello Everyone! My surgery date is September 4th. I feel so blessed and greatful for the process to flow with ease. I just hope the recovery is as easy. Patricia

I have a Sept 2 surgery date. At 5'8", I am worried about the higher risk, but I am encouraged by all the supportive email from peers in like situatuion. I am preparing for the date, I have attended the nutri session, counseling sessions, and I am waiting on a stress test this next Monday, a sleep test this next Tuesday, and a Greenfield net surgery in August. I have started to reduce my caloric intake, I am walikng as much as possible (I got bad knees). I have found site to be a great asset, in support from peers who know what I feel because they are in like shoes. It means alot, thanks to all who have written emails in support.
