Hi Angie and good luck. September 10th is my surgery date also. I am so happy to get the chance to start my life over again. I will be thinking of you that day and I'll be saying a prayer for the both of us. You'll have to keep me posted on how you are doing.

A date is finially here. I have been in the process since the end of April. Even though it has taken so long I still can't believe it is here. I'm so excited to get on with my life. To be able to feel alive!!!!!

Hello To All:
I was originally scheduled for sugery August.06,2003. This date was to soon for my mother to come out and assist me. I changed the date to September.03,2003. PRAISE THE LORD," FOR HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED''.
As I get closer to the date I hear all the what if's and the complications that could arise from the surgery. To all those out there ,you would't know what I feel like being trapped into this body unless you have walked a mile in my shoes. Most importantly "IT AIN'T OVER UNTIL THE FAT LADY SINGS'.

Hi Laura and good luck with your surgery date. Mine is scheduled for September 10th and like you I have all the mixed emotions. I'm thrilled beyond belief and at the same time scared to death. I used to save some of my favorite "skinny" clothes but never thought I'd have the opportunity to have something like this done so I donated them to Goodwill. My son (who turns 17 this month) and I were out shopping for school clothes last weekend when I picked up a pair of size 30 x 30 jeans and told him that when I met his father that was the size of pants I was wearing. He told me that WHEN i get back to that size he will come back up to the store and buy me a pair of those jeans once again!
You will be in my thoughts and prayers and I look forward to hearing about your success and sharing mine with everyone soon. YaY!!!! We are about the become "LOSERS" (never thought being a loser would sound so good)

My surgery date is scheduled for Sept. 10th. I am thrilled to finally be scheduled but at the same time you get all of the people *****ally don't understand what you are going through or what you are facing telling you all of the horror stories that they have heard about what can go WRONG. If only they knew what can go RIGHT. I guess I face telling my mother in the next couple of weeks what is going on and that scares me more than the surgery itself because I know how worried she will be.
Good luck all of you September buddies sharing probably the same excitement and fears that I am having.

we had our first chat meeting Saturday morning, august 9. Audrey (audge) and Tonya (gtogrove) came and we had a great time chatting about everything from last food list to husbands to favorite websites. The next chat time is Monday, hope you all can come. My calendar is filling with all your dates!
