I have a surgery date! It's Sept. 29, 2003 at 2:00pm.

I am very happy for Stacey. My name is Debra I am 39 years old and I will be having surgery Sept. 3rd. at UCLA in California.
Were are you having your surgery? What kind?
I am having a open Gastric Bypass and will only be in the hospital for 3-5 days,(God willing).
The closer I get the more happy, scared I am. I have other health issues.
I have connective tissue disorder and chronic abd. pain, mostley in my small bowel. I also have chronic bowel obstructions. I am looking forward to finding out if this bypass cuts down on some of my pain.

I gave away all of my clothes, but 5 items. I went out and bought new vitim. and will start my protein soon.
My weight is 278 and my goal is 140. I will be there!!

Oh' YES, I am really scared.

care how painful this is going to be,

Topic: I have a date with destiny, my life will begin again on 9/10/03
I was approved by my insurance comp on 8/12/03 for WLS on 9/10/03. I am so excited!!!! I give all the credit for this journey to God who is always there with me & for me. I truly believe he has led me to this tool to conquer MO once & for all & I know if He has led me to it He will bring me thru it!!! Congrats to all my fellow Sept life changers & we will be there before we know it. May God Bless your journey to be the butterflies he intended us to be!!!

I got a call at work today from the Wish Center in Tempe, my insurance approval came through. They have me scheduled for open RNY on September 2nd!! My surgeon is Dr. Pulawski, and I have my pre op appt with him on Aug. 21st. I'm so excited, just trying to figure out what all I have to do to be ready. Any advise will be greatly appreciated because my mind is like mush right about now!!
