My life change WLS is scheduled for Sept. 5th.....I've been waiting for this date since June 4th after my consultations...Their are a range of emotions I'm feeling right now, from fear to excitment.....Please pray for my speedy recovery----FRIENDS------May God continue to Bless you all.

I'm scared just like you and haven't told many people. I did tell my best friend Linda, but unfourtanately she passed away friday. She died due to her weight and diabetes. I am devistated and will miss her so much, but now I know I must go on with this surgery. Thank goodness for this website! Please don't give up. We need to take care of ourselves, not just for us but for those who care about us. My date is also the 10th, and we will be OK.

I understand 100% what you mean. I am nervous for my date which is the 9th. But I think you have to be the 100% support for yourself. Remember why this is a good idea.....a happier heathier you (or thats I want). I hope and pray that thoes around you step up to the plate to support you. Best wishes..... Kim

My date is Sept 10th, 2003- if i have enough courage to go to the hospital that day. I have wanted this for so long that now I am afraid of really having surgery. I have let as few people know as possible and those who do are not very encouraging. I am so scared and think maybe I have not done enough to try before now to lose weight. I am afraid I will back out at the last minute. None of my freinds or family is 100% behind me! No one wants to say I should do it incase something goes wrong. I guess I just need to follow through and maybe I will sound happy like all the post-op peope on this site.
