I too am scheduled for the 9th of September. I had my surgery date before I was finally approved after 12 weeks of waiting for the insurance to come through. This is the worst time now..the waiting game..We have 14 days & a wake up to go. Best of luck to you.

I am 400 lbs and my date is set for 9/16/03. I am looking forward to this whole process. I wonder (and not to be condemming) but why would you think you would only loose to 250? I have lurked on this site for over a year and have seen some of the most amazing success stories. If you want to be less then 250 with the RNY then I say shoot for the moon. That way once you surpass the 250 lbs goal everything else will be amazing for you. I bet you can do anything you set your mind too!!! Remember to study up on the pouch rules, exercise, and drink pleanty of fulids..... (I say that to remind myself as well!!!) and I wish you the best of luck!!

First time on the message board...my surgery is set for Sept 26. Anxious and nervous both. After reading so many posts I am looking for support from people who weigh(ed) more than 400. I'm currently 430, down from 441 and my anticipated goal is 250 which is where some people start on this journey. I must admit that I find that very frustrating. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I don't think those at 250 shouldn't have the surgery, but as you can see, I'm in a different ball game than you. Any takers?

This day means "D-Day" to so many, it means to me the day I beginning winning the war against the weight after so many lost battles with it. I am scared and excited. I want it already done. . pre-op is Aug. 29th and there's gonna be no stopping the thin me from coming out of this fat shell. . . I will be so much happier and healthier.

So now I won't be having my open RNY on August 25, '03. I'll have a Stress Test on 8/29/03, see the Cardiologist on 9/2/03 and MAYBE I'll be on the surgery schedule for 9/3/03. We shall see.........We shall see.........

Don't be scared Linda, You will be ok, keep the faith. Your surgery is done one day before mine is. I am nervous but not scared as I have been WAITING for this for a long time! You are in my prayers. Love Brenda
