I finally got a date. I will have a LAP RNY, September 16th. I have been trying to have this surgery since, December 2001. I don't think that I ever believed that I would be accepted. Be careful what you ask for, because you just might get it. Now that I have less than two weeks to go, I am a bit nervous. I have never hafd any surgery. I trust in the Lord and I put my faith in Him. My surgeon is a very competent and caring Doctor. I do trust him to get it right I need all of your prayers.

Sept.11th is my day too. I thought perhaps I was the only one. But, I too think this will become a very special day for the both of us. We will have 3000 angels looking after us. Plus a few more at this site as well. I am in CA and would love to talk with you if you want. I need encouragement and support as well. I think I will join you! My surgery date is Sept.11 too. For us I think this date will now mark something good for our lives instead of just a sad day in history. Please email me. I have 4 more days to go. I start my pre-op tests to prepare for surgery this Friday. This is so I can have every thing ready for Tuesday 9th of September wich is the big day. I want to thank every one here for the wonderful thoughts and prayers,and also hope the ones that are waiting for approvel will get it fast and those whe are waiting surgery may the Good Lord bless everyone. Congratulations! I know exactly how you feel. I have about 18 now....9/22/03. I know I am driving everyone crazy counting the days and minutes and living and breathing everything WLS. Since most of my family and friends don't have weight problems or are just in the overweight catergory, they don't understand why this is so important and exciting for me.
