Topic: RE: is it normal to be so anxious?
There's nothing wrong with you!!! Most of us, if not all, get anxious and for different reasons and respond differently. I'm just anxious to get the other side to do all the things, that I can't do now or are difficult to do....especially just getting a good night sleep (praying sleep apnea will be gone for good). I have a 7 yr old and she will be with my mom (but she's used to it) for those few days in the hospital, but I'm not anxious about leaving her....#1) she has many planned activities those few days so she will be so pre-occupied to miss me (or barely) AND #2) we (WLS patients) are so much better (healthier, happier and more physically fit) afterwards that our kids will enjoy us even more, so for them and us to sacrifice a couple days will pay off big in the long run. Good luck and God bless.

Topic: RE: i need a angel
you have angels all around you. I had the surgery aug. 28 2003. Just three weeks ago and it was great. I had asthma high blood pressure abd took zoloft for depression. I take none of these pills now. You will be surprised how easy you go through this. You have to be careful of the front of you stomach but they will give you a binder to wrap around you to absorb any movement that might shake you. Like kids jumping on you. If you follow the food directions put upon you for the weeks to come (which are boring) what will be half the battle. I feel great and i look good to (grin). I had to go though the operation by myself. I didn"t even know how i was going to get home form the hospital, (ech). If you go in with a good frame of mind and this is going to be a new life for YOU and your family. You will be so happy you won"t be able to keep the smile off your face.
GOD BLESS

you are going to do great. I had to go through this by myself. I had a neighbor drive me to the hospital ( aug 28 2003) and went the the operation like a champ. Luckly my brother was able to come and pick mw up and i have had to go it alone from there. I have now lost 20 pounds in two weeks and i feel great, and i look darn GOOD. If you go into this that you have to change your way of eating , and you are on your way to a new life. A great new days are ahead with a new outlook. You will be suprised how easy to will recover. It is the best thing you can to for YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
god bless and i know you will do grear

i just had my surgery aug 28. It really went great. I was out in two days and have lost 21 pounds. I got the surgery for more medical reasons that weight. I was 211 going in and am 5'4". My medical reasons were asma, high blood presure, arthrits, and sleep apna. I no longer and on my high blood presure pills and ashma pills I slao took zoloft of depresion and i no longer have to take them either. If i had it to do over again i would have no waited so long. I know you will be so happy with your new life. God bless you from Miichigan
