Topic: RE: On the losing side!
Congratulations on your great news! Why still on clear liquids? I thought it switched over to full liquids (milk, puddings, etc.) after a few days. I would check with the dr. but either way good luck in the remainder of your journey.

Topic: On the losing side!
I am on the losing side!!. My surgery was 1 wk ago today. Everything went great and I am feeling pretty good except I get so exhausted. I am building up my walking everyday and the pain is less and less everyday. No pain meds now for 2 days. Can't wait to get off this clear liquid diet, but I am determined to stick it out. It would be silly to go through this surgery and then not follow directions! My 2 wk appt. is 9/23. I'll update then.
Topic: What do I need before Surgery ?
Hi, my surgery (Lapband) is set for 9/29 and the pre-op appointment with my doctor is 9/25, I know they will give me instructions for what to eat and how much, etc. But I just wonder can someone give me a rough idea ? so I can have some stuff at home when I come home, without sending the husband out to get things for me, you know how that is.
I need all the help I can get, I did a lot of researchers on the web including this site, but I still felt like I don't know enough. Is it right that I will be on liquid on first 2 weeks ? I have to go back to work in one week, so I'm trying to figure everything out. Does any one had the band can give me some insight ? Thank you for all the help and support.

Topic: RE: is it normal to be so anxious?
Hello Shawna.. No, there is nothing wrong with you or what you are doing or what you are going through. I too am "spring cleaning". My surgery is set for Wednesday, the 17th. I'm nervuos, anxious, and alittle scared, but that goes with having any kind of surgery and the BIGGEST life style change I will ever have to make in my life. I keep myself in a positive frame of mind by KNOWING that this time next year I will be much healthier, happier, and thinner. Sit down and think of all the things that you will be able to do with your son next Summer, that you could'nt do (without getting worn out) this summer. My prayers are with you, Be Blessed
