My surgery is 09/29/03 and I also worry about my food addiction. My strength is the knowledge I will be healthier and able to do more with the grandchildren. Have faith that your surgery will go well. It is very important to the doctors and hospital staff you have a successfull outcome. They will do everything they can to guarantee you do fine. I have faith I will be fine because only the good die young and I don't qualify as good. hehe Cindy

My surgery date is September 30, 2003. I am starting to get a little nervous. Part of me knows that everything will be ok, but the other part is scared stiff. My husband just had his surgery on September 9, 2003 and he is doing great. He didn't have any complications, but with my luck I will. I am looking forward to the losing weight part, but I hope I am ready for the challenge, since I am a food addict. Food addiction is the one thing that both me and my husband have, and I watch him struggle everyday since the surgery, not with hunger, but with the want for food. I am hoping with us both having the surgery so close together, we will be able to be strong for each other. I am hoping this web site will also be a good support system for us. Heather

I'm 1 week post -op . I finnaly got out of the house today i drove my car for the first time after surgery. It felt great. took the kids to football pratice. and while I waited i took a walk around the field. A slow walk in the strong wind did me well. got a little pain in my side were the incesction was done , took a tynol and walked a little more. I'm looking forward to the new road in my Life that i can't wait to see the weight melt off. but one day at a time i know.. I've had so much surport from family and friends that i feel greatful for them .. My mother-in-law flow from florida to come and help me my hubby took off work the first few day. He's been a great help with all this .I like to thank him for all his love and surport he has given me all these years with the up and down on my weight no matter how much i weight he loves me for me..love him very much,,.. and thank my mother-in-law whom i call MA she is the greates ma a girl can have.. She flew in has cooked dinner for the kidds(3) help them with homework done laundry and clean up and even walk the dog.. Thanks Ma for all your help. this is my new life and i'm looking forward to the rest of it, Thank you
