I read your message and had tears in my eyes because I understand pain and discomfort. I am so sorry that your Mom is going through a difficult time!! Topic: Question for the Losing Side

Hi! I have a post-op surgery question regarding losing weight. If you feel up to it I would really appreciate any detailed replies to this question, I have already heard some generic answers, but I would love to hear personal experiences. This is my question: I am now 6 days post-op (YEA!), doing really well, eating, "all" functions otherwise working well. Approximately Mon-Tues, I lost all of the surgery weight-gain, from Tuesday to today Thursday, I am down 6lbs. I have no barometer to know whether that is good, expected, what to expect, etc. I have only heard comments from people about losing 20+ etc. after 10 days, etc., but not the immediate....It is funny because I know that in prior years losing 6lbs. in a couple of days would have been great, I guess I am feeling a little paranoid!! Any thoughts, feelings!???? Thanks, Lori

Hi! First and very important I have to thank all of the people that sent messages of love, support and prayers prior to my surgery!!! There are no words to express how deeply your messages touched me and left me with a feeling that I was wrapped in a blanket of support!!!! Second, I am now 6 days post-op and feel great!!!!! I am home, eating, sleeping, walking, reading, etc. I am very happy to report that everything is going very well!!! Sending people love and support as well for people who are going to be having their surgery in the near future! Love and Blessings to everybody, Lori
