Dear Cindy, hang in there. I don't know if you believe in Crhist or not, but I do know He is always there to help you when you need. Just put your faith and trust in him. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and will be praying for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery.

HI: THIS IS ALISON SMITH IN LEWISTON, IDAHO HERE. I WILL LEAVE MY HOME AT 7 AM IN THE MORNING TO TRAVEL TO SACRED HEART HOSPITAL IN SPOKANE, WASHINGTON TO HAVE MY RNY SURGERY AT 12:30 TOMORROW. I AM STARTING TO FREEK OUT A BIT AND MY TWO KIDS ARE SHOWING THEIR SIGNS OF BEING SCARED. BUT I HAVE A VERY GOOD FEELING ABOUT ALL THIS. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER OF TWO KIDS SO I HAVE NO HUSBAND TO LEAN ON. HOWEVER, BOTH OF MY PARENTS WILL BE WITH ME AND MY DOCTOR IS WONDERFUL. HOW ARE YOU NOW THAT IT IS LATER IN THE DAY? DO YOU HAVE TO TRAVEL TO GET TO YOUR HOSPITAL OR ARE YOU IN THE SAME CITY?

I have less than 20 hours until my surgery. This website is a answer to all my prayers. The support and encouragement has been tremendous. I have spent hours on this website and learned a lot. Many of my questions and concerns have been answered by reading messages and profiles from the angels who have made this journey before me.
God Bless All

My surgery is also in the morning. Prayer is the best healer. You have my prayers; and remember, prayer is the best healer. Now we can look forward to our new lives.
God Bless

First, always praise God no matter what you are going through. Then remember that all sickness is not to death. Asking for prayers for your mother was the best thing you could do. But pray on your own as well. Don't ask God to fix your mother and then you worry. But if you plan to wprry about your mother, don't pray. This sounds dumb but this is true. Take your worries to God and cast them on him, he will then take care of you and your mother. May God bless you and may heaven smile upon you. Keep your hands in God's hands.

Well, my wait is almost over. After months of battleing with the insurance company, I was finally approved. Now, the wait is on again, just waiting for the calendar to count down to MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2003!!!! My husband is a little nervous which is making me nervous. Last night we went out to dinner and he noticed that I was not eating nearly as much as I normally would and he leaned over and said, "Are you OK? Why aren't you eating?" At that moment, I realized I can do this. By that I mean that I have learned some behavior modification and instead of eating because the food was there, I ate until I felt the first sign of being full, which was only about 12 bites. We, said a special prayer over our meal, I asked God to perform my surgery through my Doctor and not the Doctor alone. Yes, I am a lttlie nervous but what else is there to do. If there are any last minute suggestions, please, let me know. May God bless you and may heaven smile upon each of you.
