gaining?
Hey Everyone, I am new to the anniversary board. i had my surgery 09-22-03. i started at 234 lost down to 123. am now back up to 140. I have been miserable and beat myself up about this daily, ok multiple time a day. Do you ever just not fill up? some times i eat eat eat without filling., then i tak a bite or two and i am full. I have contacted my surgeon and pcp and nobody seems worried but me. I tried to get back down to true basics but i feel like i am starving. any suggestions? Thanks so much.

Hi Jennifer. I had my surgery of 11/3/03 and went from 268 to 128. Now I am back up to 140. I also am very upset and worried that I will fail at this. I am amazed at how much I am able to eat. I have no suggestions, but I wanted you to know you are not alone!

Dianna, I can't speak for Jennifer, but I agree with you. I am 5'6" tall so 140 lbs is still pretty good. I wear a size 6 and I am very thankful for my weightloss. I am just nervous about gaining weight. If I stay at 140, I will be happy, I just don't want to keep creeping up the scale after all my hard work.
Hi jennifer,
dont beat yourself up hun from what my nutrionist told me your body can bounce ten pounds up and then ten pounds back down she explained it to me as that is your body getting "normal"
i have days that i just cant snack enough (graze) then i have days i have to make myself eat. i think alot of it has to do with stress and maybe some days i just dont drink enough.
you will be ok hang in there
Keep smiling and great job on the weight loss

Jennifer, What I have found that has helped is to eat Lean Cuisine meals
for a few weeks to help train yourself the portions you should eat. Anytime you feel like you have done what you can, take a deep breath, forgive yourself and start over. Don't drink 30 mins before or after your meals. I guess what I am trying to tell you is the tool is still there. Just go back to the basics. Good luck!
I just discovered the anniversary board too. I also had my surgery on Sept . 22, 2003. I am sometimes amazed at the amount of food I can eat . There are days that I eat what seems like massive amounts and I worry about gaining but I usually gain 2 or three lbs. but seem to lose it and more. I am still losing weight so I guess its ok. i lost 255 lbs. to date
so I am not unhappy.
