Attitude Adjustments!!!
Hi Everyone:
It's Friday so here I am. I've been so busy that I almost forgot to post.
Things are going great for me as I enter the third week of year two since surgery. It's funny how my weight loss has changed people's attitudes toward me. Here's an example. I was walking down the corridor in my office yesterday and I heard a woman behind me saying "I want to grab your butt." Since my surgery I sort of take stuff like this with a grain of salt until I turned around and saw that the person who said it was the same person that did the under her breath whispering before surgery that I looked like a beached whale. I just laughed off her comment but inside most of you know what I really wanted to say (LOL).
I guess that I just have to accept people reacting strangely to the new me and roll with it.
Till next time,
Jesse

Hi Jesse,
Those are the people that you just want to smack! They wouldn't give you the time of day or had negative comments to make when you were Morbidly Obese and now they think they have the right to flirt with you! I probably would have said something like "the only one who'll be grabbing this butt is my wife, and furthermore, I am still that same person who a year ago you referred to as the beached whale". Otherwise I'd have just told her that the comment was totally inappropriate for the workplace and if she continued you'd have to file a sexual harrassment grievence (that might have shocked her, huh!).
I do hope that all of us Morbidly Obese folks as we continue in our journeys remember from where we came and always have compassion for those who have not taken the same steps as we have. It is a cruel world out there.
