:-D One Year Since Surgery.....Feeling Great!

I had my surgery on Sept. 30, and to date I have dropped from 322lbs to now 196lbs.... I have gone from 3/4 X to a now medium shirt and sweat pants..... I am able to do things now that I was not able to do for years... I am so thankful for Temple hospital and the caring staff who have given me the tools to my journey to a better way of living.... Hope all are doing well.... The Walkathon was great! Hope to see more out there next year.... Take care and keep up the good work Marie

Hi Marie: I had my surgery on the same date! I had mine in North Carolina (Wake Hospital), but I graduated from Temple!!! What a small world... Are you amazed that it's been a full year? I actually didn't realize it was my anniversary until I got an email this morning from this site. It made my day, and also made me realize how lucky I've been, and how happy this surgery has made me. Hope you're feeling great too. 126 pounds is FABULOUS!!! I have lost 116, and gained a ton of confidence. Take care of your yourself! You look great!

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your reply... I am still doing great... I am now down to 192lbs and still working out to tone up what I can.. Went to see a plastic surgeon and am going to look into more opinions.. I really can't afford the $4,000.00 that she will charge to do more extensive work.. SO, I am looking for a great plastic surgeon who will work with the insurance company and hopefully get the proceedure done at a much more affordable cost...
