Hi Everyone: It's that time again, Jesse's Friday post. I'm holding at 193 pounds 42 weeks out from surgery that represents a 180 pound weight loss. This week my cardiologist has me do a stress test since I haven't had one in years because I was too heave for the machinery. I was on the treadmill and they kept increasing the angle and the speed. After 15 minutes the doctor administering the test finally gave up and told me that the test was over. I told him that I wasn't even warmed up yet but he insisted that I stop. I guess I was "wearing" him out (LOL). Yesterday my cardologist called me to tell me that everything was perfect and I asked why the doctor stopped me. He said that usually people only last 7-10 minutes if that before complaning of shortness of breath or pain. He was surprised that I wasn't even sweating after 15 minutes so there was no reason to continue. I'm telling you, WLS is great and the benefits of better health and happiness far outweigh the risks. Focus on the benefits and strive to achieve them. Remember to remain positive and you will realize your goals. Till next time, Jesse

Hi Jesse, Your email message made me laugh-how you put your cardiologist to the test and conquered all. I struggled with my 5 foot 2 217 lb. body to make it through my stress test that I needed for pre-op-so the surgeon would not have to worry about me dying of a heart attack on the operating table. Anyway, by a miracle, I passed it-but-wow-you have to be in fantastic shape on that thing for 15 minutes and no sweating.... You could be the poster man for WLS! Deb
