Were you a member of the Yahoo group for Sept 2003 surgery patients?

Hi everyone. Last fall I was scheduled to have my RNY in September but at the last minute learned that I had a large tumor in my abdomen that had to be removed before my weightloss surgery. At that time I was a member of a Yahoo Group that was for Sept 2003 surgery patients. I left it because I felt I no longer had mu*****ommon with the members & to be honest, it hurt to read about all their excitement & joys when I was still waiting. It was a great group with many very caring people as members. I just wanted to let any of them that also visit this message board know that I am doing fine & joined you all on the "otherside" in December. My surgery went perfectly & except for a few small problems, like not being able to eat much meat and having to get my protein by drinking soy milk, my recovery is going well. So far I am down almost 90 lbs & I feel great. I wanted to thank them also for all the encouragement & understanding remarks but even more I want to thank those who offered me tough love when I expressed how envious I was of them. You were right. I was wrong to be envious & when I finally accepted that I felt much better. Thank you again, Dixie
