6 month report!!!
Hi all,
Well it has been 6 adventurous months since my surgery. I was one of the few people that had bad complications. I had 3 surgeries in 1 week, and still had a leak and infections. I was in 2 different hospitals had all kinds of Drs. I have lost 85# could have been more but I was on a pic line for 2 and 1/2 months and did not take anything by mouth. My intraveinous feedings had about 2000 calories in them. I was attached to a wound vac because my incision got infected and had to heal from the inside out, so I really couldn't erxercise like I should have. I have been eating now since Christmas and now the wound vac is off I started exercising. In spite of all the problems I had I still am glad I had the surgery. Heres hoping I hit my goal by my first year anniversery.

Dear Galpal,
Well, guess what? You sound like you're doing great to me!
I'm 9-4-03 RNY with no complications - just an insane body that has tried to drive my mind insane most of my life. I say that to say this, I'm a slow loser, no known reason - but we both will get there. I've lost 35 lbs in 6 months, but WLS saved my life. (I'm down from 9 RXs & 2 over-the-counter meds daily to 1/2 BP pill & vitamins daily.) The trauma of re-learning to eat was difficult for me, although I'm average intelligence.
Keep me posted. I want to know you've made it!
