Hi all! I had my surgery on the 9th. I have been fortuanate because I did not vomit until yesterday. I took my meds in un-sweetened applesauce a little to quick. It no sooner went down & it came right back out. The weird thing was there was no horrible after taste. I felt fine as soon as I finished. I tried the applesauce again this morning, but I did it slowly, & there was no problem. Live & learn. I went for my follow up with the dietician yesterday & she gave me meal ideas for 3 weeks till 8 weeks post op. I only eat because I know I have to. I can't normally finish everything, but I try to eat a little more each day. I just am not hungry at all. I started off at 288 & when I went yesterday & was weighed, the scale hovered on 249/250. I am thrilled mostley because I am off all 3 of my diabetic meds & am off Lipitor as well. After I get down another 20 to 30 lbs, my family doctors is going to get me off my high blood pressure pill as well. It just keeps getting better!

Hi Judy, I had my surgery 9/3/03. I am down 32 pounds. I started out 303/271 and I am now at 271. Some days I have to make myself eat as well. In regards to the living and learning, this is so true. I upchucked yesterday. I chewed something too fast. I love it because the "pouchie" will let us know if we are doing something right or wrong. Keep up the good work.
