There day is here!! Surgery is at 10:30a.m. MDT. I should still be sleeping but my head is hurting too bad from not eating. I still have a hard time believing I won't still be diabetic after this. And that I won't be hungry!!! That'll be a first!

Rena, I was a Type II diabetic, and now I take NOTHING for diabetes because I no longer have diabetes!! It's true, and it can happen for you too! I still take my readings to stay on track, but now I feel like I'm a whole new person! Congratulations on your surgery and I can't wait to hear of your progress. God bless, Melissa Fink

Hello Rena, It seems we had our surgery on the same day. Let's keep in touch. I had the surgery at 7:30 am. CST 9/30/03 and went home on 10/2/03. I am feeling pretty good. I had an episode because I drank apple juice first thing in the morning and experienced horrible dizziness, weakness, a faint feeling. Once it passed I drank some nonsweet tea, some chicken broth. So far so good! I wish you the best.
